PARENTS AND CARERS

PARENTS COMMENTS & TESTIMONIALS

At Charlestown Day Nursery we feel that it is important to have a strong partnership with parents/carers.  We believe the best care for children is achieved when nursery staff and parents work hand in hand, this enables us to focus on family’s individual needs.

We welcome and encourage parents involvement in many ways, this includes: parents evenings termly for all pre-school children; staff discussing with parents their child’s development; learning journey files can be accessed & discussed at any time with your child’s key person.

We provide termly event sheets where there is always events and special days for parents to get involved.

We also send out questionnaires twice a year and value feed back & act upon ideas and suggestions.

We have a parents area where there is a lot of information & ideas displayed that parents can tap into at any time.

Here are some of our parents comments that we have received over the years:

=============================================================

Benjamin started at Charlestown Day Nursery when he was 11 months old.  He settled straight away and has been fond of all his key workers and carers.  I originally pickedCharlestownbecause it was the closest to my place of work.  When I finished work I decided to let Ben stay because he loved it so much.  The transition between each room change has been managed really well and Ben settled easily and has been excited with every new stage at nursery.

The pre-school room has been fantastic with football coaching and dancing lessons.  Ben speaks so enthusiastically about whatever he has learnt that day.  He misses Jo Jo, Rachael and Lisa when he’s not there and was quite concerned that we forgot to take Lisa on holiday with us.

We have had tremendous support from the staff and managers.  I personally do not know what we would have done without the support from you Gill.  Your support has really helped us through some very difficult times.

Ben has had security and stability in a caring environment and has had fun whilst learning.  I know he will missCharlestownwhen he moves on to school.

 Many thanks and kind regards.

Viv Greatwich.

When I chose Charlestown Day Nursery for my son I knew I’d made the right decision because he fell in love with the staff straightaway.  He started at 3yrs old and is still there at 6 ½ yrs old as they pick him up from a local school for after school club and he also attends holiday club during the school holidays.  The staff are fantastic and very accommodating with anything not too much trouble.  I can go to work knowing they look after him as one of their own and no harm would come to him. I would definitely recommend this nursery to my family and friends.

 Kind regards,

 Jackie Baird.

Nursery has given our children access to a wide range of toys & equipment to make play enjoyable and valuable.

Nursery provide well balanced & varied meals which the children enjoy.  Staff are caring & develop good relationships with the children which means that they feel secure, they are happy and enjoy their time at nursery.

Staff are supportive and are happy to work with parents to help with things such as weaning and potty training.  It is reassuring to  have approachable keyworkers to discuss thing with when needed.

My son has attended Charlestown Nursery for over a year and has always loved it.  The nursery is spacious, colourful and appealing to all the different age groups within the nursery.  The staff are friendly and approachable at all times.

When my son first started atCharlestown, he did not talk due to him having autism, within the past year, with help from the staff and usingPECSsystem, he is now starting using words.  I cannot thank the staff or his keyworker enough for all the help and patience they have shown my son.

I truly recommendCharlestownto anyone looking for somewhere safe and fun to leav their children.
